Recent Sales Report Glossary

The Recent Sales report offers eBay sales metrics for the last 7 days, 30 days and Month to Date for the top 100 listings for a given search. Use this report to assess product, listing, competitor and brand performance. Include a Seller ID when creating your report to understand your competitors more thoroughly.

Overview Boxes

Overview boxes summarise the data set. The definitions of each metric are:

  • Listings: Count of listings within the dataset.  In this report there will be a maximum of 100.

  • Sellers: Number of sellers that the top 100 listings belong to.

  • Brands: Number of brands being offered within the top 100 listings.

  • Price Range: The range of prices that the sold items were listed at. It does not include discounts, such as from coupons, best offers or promotions.

  • #Sold: The number of items sold by the top listings during the time period specified. This figure does not deduct cancelled transactions or refunds.

  • $Sold: The revenue from sales achieved from the top listings during the time period specified. This figure does not deduct cancelled transactions or discounts from the listed price.

 

Data Tables

Data is presented in an easy to use tabular format with 3 distinct data view options:

  1. Seller view

  2. Brand view, and

  3. Listings view. 

Click the headers of the data table to sort. The data column definitions are:

  • Seller: Seller ID

  • Listings: Count of listings.

  • Top Rank: Highest ranked listing.

  • #Sold: Number of sold items for the time period specified. This figure does not deduct cancelled transactions or refunds.

  • $Sold: The revenue from sales achieved during the time period specified. This figure does not deduct cancelled transactions or discounts from the listed price.

  • Med Price: The median price. This is the middle value within the set of sold unit prices when sorted.

  • Med Postage: The median postage cost. This is the middle value within the set of paid postage prices when sorted.

  • Brands: The brands entered into the Item Specifics field of the Sellers’ listings that are in the data set.

 

Charts

Charts visually summarise the data set, including any filters that have been applied. The chart in the Recent Sales report displays sales metrics by day, for the time duration selected. Open the chart by clicking on the chart icon, located at the top right of the data table  

Change the data displayed by clicking the Green text in the chart title to $Sold or #Sold.  Toggling between the two values changes the values on the left axis accordingly.

Med. Unit Price – (Median unit price) This is displayed using the line graph and refers to the right axis.

Hover over a data point on the graph to see the metrics by day. Refine the data in the graph by applying filters. Click on the Legend to remove or add the data points.
